Step into Style: 5 must have shoes for this season
White Sneakers
These are definitely such a versatile choice that you cannot miss with this one. You can style this with almost any outfit to give an elevated casual look. Some of my favorite brands are the Adidas Sambae (not to be confused with the Samba which is also quite popular), Veja Esplar or
Sam Edelman Ethyl Low Top sneakers.
Loafers
If you’re looking for a timeless option that really transitions seamlessly for every season, than
loafers are a must. Not only are loafers suitable to be worn for work, school, or play but they’re also designed for comfort with cushioned soles, ensuring that it’s easy to wear for long periods. My top recommendations are Franco Sarto’s Cassandra, Sam Edelman’s Loraine Bit, and Vionic’s Uptown Loafer.
Ballet Flats
Here is another classic staple that has a different trending style each year. Millennials can vividly remember the chokehold that Tory Burch had all the girls in with her iconic flats. This year the studded, mesh, and cap toe flats are a few of the main attractions. My recommendations include (another) Sam Edelman in the Michaela Shine Mary Jane Flat (which checks off both the studded and mesh category) or J.Crew’s Ballet Flats with the Cap Toe.
Kitten Heels
The resurgence of the kitten heel was definitely not on my bingo card, because I distinctly remember it as a “mature church lady” shoe. However, life and my pinky toe, decided to humble me quickly and I can fully appreciate that this style is here to stay. Luckily, our favorite stores have caught on as well and are offering more modern, chic, and elevated styles to choose from. My top choices have to be Steve Madden’s Legaci Pump, Vince Camuto’s Faiza Sandals, and Sam Edelman’s Brit Kitten Heel Mule.
Chunky Slides
I fell in love with the chunky slides after my trip to Paris two years ago, and am so glad that this trend hasn’t gone anywhere. One thing about this new generation, is that we will prioritize comfort and this option definitely fits that bill. If you’re looking for a durable and effortlessly chic shoe to enjoy as the weather heats up, then this is a must have in your rotation. The best
options for this category is the Fendi Feel Slides (the infamous slides that hooked me in), (ofcourse I had to include) Sam Edelman’s Rowan slide, and Schutz’s Enola Sporty LeatherSandal.
If these staples are not part of your collection, what are some of your go-to’s this season? Letme know in the comments!
